The Molybdenum Mambo

The Climax Mine on the Fremont Pass, 11,318 ft (3,450 m), is quite an operation with an interesting history.  As the sign reads, molybdenum is used to harden steel. If you ever had a bicycle with a chromoly frame, you were riding on a molybdenum mix.

Laurie was wearing similar colors to the molybdenum ore cars on display in the outdoor museum across the road from the mine. The colors inspired her to do the molybdenum mambo. You can see a gif of the molybdenum mambo at: https://photoofthedayetc.wordpress.com/2017/09/25/the-molybdenum-mambo/

HI Teagan. We had fun. WP sure has a way doesn't it? For people that post most days it's easy to notice when you are not getting notifications, but for the people that post occasionally, it can be a long time before you figure out the notifications have gone by the wayside.

Thanks, Lavinia! Lots of mine drama. Makes for good stories, but I wouldn't have wanted to be in the middle of that stuff.

It sounds like an interesting stop, Tim. And it looks like ya'll had a great time.
Wordpress has stopped emailing me post notifications... again. Makes it hard to keep up with everyone.
Enjoy the rest of the week. Hugs.
