My MacBook Pro has gone south. I cannot pinpoint the issue, but something is keeping it from booting. Apple can't do much because it's 6 years old, outside their window of support. Since it exhibits the same behavior from four different hard drives with four different versions of Mac OS X, and while trying to boot in recovery mode over the Internet, I, with agreement of an Apple tech I got some phone support from, determined the problem is not associated with hard drives or the operating system. Until I can get a suitable replacement computer photos are on hold.

Just checking in to see how things are going. Hope you get a good replacement, Tim.

Hi David. The logic boards Apple uses have always been expensive to replace.

While smaller sized parts cost more than for desktop systems, it does sound more like overpriced parts and overpriced labor more than anything else.
